ERA Films was set up by Preti and Ben Crowe in 2009 to make education, research and advocacy films for NGOs and to produce video journalism.
We have worked with organisations including AMREF, the International Trade Union Confederation, BookAid International, Shared Interest Foundation, International Union for Conservation of Nature-NL and Minority Rights Group International. We have expertise working with people and communities in East Africa and South East Asia.

In 2013-2014, ERA Films produced work for the ITUC on the dire conditions of migrant workers who are building the World Cup stadiums in Qatar.
We have also worked with Dutch photojournalist Jan Joseph Stock in DR Congo, Rwanda, Uganda and Burundi, training local people to use photography and video to document human rights abuses and environmental challenges posed by oil development.
